About Designhint
Designhint is a free, open AI prompt library and visual reference gallery for designers. Browse prompts across poster, photography, e-commerce, illustration, packaging, typography, and icon design, copy the ones that fit, and generate your own versions.
What is Designhint?
Designhint is an open AI prompt and artwork reference library. Designers can browse prompts and the corresponding works across poster, photography, e-commerce, illustration, packaging, typography, icon, element, and 3D directions, then copy a promising expression as a starting point for their own creation.
Works are shown to illustrate visual intent rather than to promise identical output: model versions, parameters, and reference images all influence the final picture.
How do prompts help design work?
A prompt translates creative intent into a description an image model can understand. Effective prompts typically state the subject, medium, environment, lighting, color, mood, and composition. Deciding the most important visual choices first, generating several versions, then refining from the results gives you more control than stacking many requirements up front.
Designhint pairs reusable language with real works so creators can start from a visible result instead of an empty input box.
Categories and learning resources
The gallery is organized by real design scenarios, including editorial and advertising posters, product and e-commerce scenes, photography, illustration, packaging, mockups, backgrounds, typography, icons, elements, and 3D or character works. When the deliverable is clear, browse by category; when still exploring, search by style, topic, or technique.
For systematic learning, visit the tutorial library to understand prompt structure, iteration methods, and how to evaluate common AI image generation tasks.
Verify model-specific advice
For model-specific behavior, Designhint recommends consulting first-party documentation first. Midjourney describes a prompt in its official documentation as the text or phrase you use to tell it what kind of image you want — read the official Prompt Basics for current guidance, and treat copied prompts as a starting point to test rather than a fixed recipe.
Contact and feedback
Designhint is offered as a free service to the designer community. Questions, feedback, and content reports are welcome at [email protected]. Designhint provides both Chinese and English content so creators in different languages can browse the same visual reference.
